Provost's office

 The Provost, as you expected, is too busy to talk. After making sure you're not a student in disguise, and a careful cavity search, his secretary informs you that Kasperson is booked until October of 2011. She will try to accommodate you with a thorough perusal of his bookshelves.

 She opens the door to his office about the width of her body, and slips discreetly into his office. You have time to look at your watch before she returns with bad news. "Sorry, couldn't find it. He may have loaned his copy to Jack Foley." A
