You saunter into the General Store and ask for directions to the produce section. "Produce section?" Miss December, standing behind the counter, asks you, "What are you? Some kind of asshole?"

 "Yes, but I don't see how relevant that is right now. Can you please tell me where I can find a banana?"

 "Well," she pauses for a moment to flip her hair, "Isn't Schmeorge supposed to be standing on the concourse?"

 Since you've already tried and failed with Schmeorge, as so many others have before, you need another plan of action.
